Everything Beautiful
01:23
|
|||
Made the climb to the edge overlooking the straits
Cows at my back… dog at my side… guitar in hand
I sing to the sundown before sending peace agreements
That are kept in a box on a shelf that’s easy to reach
The none all gone, the empty and the stoking wounded
The hand that grasped desperation
Like a turned oar cutting the water
I have not forgotten the memory of your face at first sight
Or the long hours spent standing in windows
Through the night
Watching the sky and the road
And however it goes
I am only willing always in the name of
Everything beautiful

The Tide
01:57
|
|||
I smell the fresh salt air on the coastal seas
Memories of days gone by…
Days that danced on the breeze
The surf moves and creates a living breathing face of
Bygone days and ways the sea and its waves
We hasten and abide riding that wet ridge and
Sensing the tide graced by knowledge
Here we are, on this earth, waiting for the song to begin
The moon touches the surf, longing for the tide to come in
Buoyed moving, deft touch bounds, divide the water
Gliding…glistening….singing like talking to it's mother….
To The Tide… to The Tide

With
01:40
|
|||
In pine forests high sighing pillars
Hold up the domes of sky with spinning stars
Clear water catching the light
While quenching and greening the edges
For now night shines gleaming clean the impending dew
Embrace of smile eye to eye silent blind love stories
Gain space far from the chilling fear of darkness
A crown of stars,
A crescent moon…
Underfoot carrying
The carefully wrapped imminence
Independent within… the wholeness of creation…
And myself combine
With or without words
There's still a ways to go…

Serenity Lane
01:41
|
|||
The lane
I walk down,
Quiet, pastoral
Haven of the true self.
Help me
To find strength
Where no bright
Light illuminates
Yet a path is lit
With striped light
And emerging
Self awareness.
Free from pity
And gratuitous pain.
This cluttered clay;
Living in the triumphant
Cradle of now...

Goodbye Marie
01:54
|
|||
He knew her well enough to care
Inspired by her golden hair
Two strangers parted by the seas
Two friends with separate destinies...
The little time they spent alone
Was like a dream that found its home
But like a river at its bend
He knew the dream would have to end…
Goodbye Marie goodbye
A smile and a sigh
Goodbye Marie goodbye
Perhaps we'll meet again then fate will be our friend
When you look back someday and see
A fair yet faded memory
My star… shall touch your golden sky
Goodbye Marie goodbye
A smile and a sigh
Goodbye Marie goodbye
Perhaps we'll meet again then fate will be our friend
So Goodbye… Marie

Am I alone or is it solitude?
It’s hard to tell sometimes
I don’t know which way to turn
I’m looking for answers that are hard to find
We don’t want no confrontation
We just want peaceful celebrations
We all need a little love
In the night of the darkest storm
Let’s reach out and love each other
Because we’re all sisters and brothers
When we look deep in our hearts we will find
The Essence of Being Kind

Gratitude
01:36
|
|||
How do I find the means to convey
All it is I long to say?
I overflow... with gratitude
Life's so brief a fleeting bird
Will my prayers ever be heard?
I'm infinite and so minute
Voice limitless and yet so mute
Beyond the vault of velvet night
Past stars so bright and deepest dark
A treasure trove this solo heart
Weeps jeweled tears... of gratitude

Believe in Miracles
01:05
|
|||
Do you believe in the goodness within humanity?
Do you believe it’s important that we should all be free?
There’s a chance that we will make it
Through the darkness night
If we share the love we came here with
Then everything will be alright
Believe in Miracles that happen every day
It’s easy to not see them when we look the other way
Believe in Miracles that were meant to be
Believe in Miracles… like the
One that’s you and me
